    You just can't go wrong with Current Innovations. Matt was professional, honest and courteous from our first meeting all the way through what turned out to be a somewhat complicated panel upgrade. He and his crew/partners Kyle and J.J. were on time both days of the project (they were also installing a whole house fan and attic fan) and worked diligently the full time, in spite of the ridiculous heat.


    Everyone involved took the time to explain the steps of the process, and answer any questions I had for them. Their worksite was left as they found it, which was a welcome bonus. The finished project surpassed expectations even when expectations were quite high.

  • As a homeowner how do you know youre choosing the right tradesperson?

    It's difficult as a homeowner to know if you're hiring a knowledgeable tradesperson and one that will do quality work at a fair price.  Rest assured, because if you're looking for a qualified, licensed electrical contractor, you don't need to look any further!


    We worked with Matt and Kyle in diagnosing an issue with had with our pool sub-panel.  Matt was very responsive and dependable in arriving on-time for our appointment.  He also provided a ton of valuable information regarding the issues we were experiencing.  As well, he provided a timely quote that was fair for the scope of work outlined.  


    If that weren't enough, Matt and Kyle went above and beyond by helping to address some issues, even though it wasn't their responsibility to do so - and *before* we committed to having them do a paid job.  Most, if not just about all, contractors would have simply walked away.

  • What can I do about the faulty light in my home?

    When not properly installed or attended, faulty lights and lighting fixtures throughout your home often pose problems and can become dangerous fire hazards. Many people love filling their homes with bright lights and lighting fixtures, however many do not insert the proper bulbs during installation. Some lighting fixtures cannot handle a certain bulb wattage which, in extreme cases, can lead to a fire. Before changing your light bulbs always check a fixture's maximum wattage and never install a bulb that is beyond that recommended amount.


  • How can I save energy in my home?

    Before you go out and purchase energy efficient products that are both expensive and oftentimes unnecessary, take small steps in your everyday life that in turn will limit the amount of energy your home uses everyday! When you’re not in a room simply turn off your lights. The same goes for everyday appliances such as washing and drying machines and dishwashers. Use faster cycles and then turn off the machines completely to save energy. You can also resort to doing machine based tasks manually such as hand washing clothes and dishes and letting your hair dry naturally as opposed to using a hair dryer.

  • What do fuses and breakers do?

    Fuses and circuit breakers are similar in that they aim to protect electrical circuits from overloading, which can cause fires. Both fuses and circuit breakers stop the flow of electricity. It’s the way in which they handle the stopping of the electricity that sets them apart both functionally effectively. Fuses are made from metal and so when they are overheated they melt. They are quicker at stopping the flow of electricity but more commonly need repairs. Circuit breakers, on the other hand, have an internal switch that is slower to stop the flow of energy but far easier to fix, by simply switching back on, when overpowered.​
